Touring the country, or even the world, as a professional disc golfer is something many who play the sport can only dream of. For those who are fortunate enough to travel and play the sport we all love, it can often be a grueling trip with many challenges along the way with great competition in between.
One of the new tours for the 2016 season, the Disc Golf Pro Tour, looks to bring the sport to the next level with five events from June to September before the sixth event in the series, the Tour Championship.
From the preparations for the Maple Hill Open in June to the moments after the final putt is made at the Tour Championship, ATDG will be following two professionals as they vie for the DGPT title as part of a partnership with the DGPT.
We’ll talk with Nate Doss and Paul Ulibarri before each DGPT event to talk about their recent tournament action, their preparation for the DGPT stop, and more. Then, after all the action is over, we’ll have post-tournament interviews as well to review how things went. The goal is to get inside the head of two of the sport’s best to learn how they go about competing on the DGPT.
Our first interviews with Doss and Ulibarri will come in a few months as they get ready for the Maple Hill Open! We’re excited for this opportunity to dig into the minds of these two top competitors.
